TENNIS CAPITAL PROJECT!!!
The Malibu Athletic Department, along with the Athletic Booster Club and the Malibu High Tennis Teams are in the process of raising $80,000 for the construction of two new tennis courts and the resurfacing of the current courts. The effort was kicked off Sunday night at the Malibu Racquet Club with about 20 tennis families in attendance along with Athletic Director Alfredo Silva.
Mr. Silva outlined a plan for the raising of funds to offset costs. Families at the dinner contributed $5,000 to kick start the effort. The Kiwanis Club of Malibu was represented by President Paul Gallo, also wearing his hat of Assistant Athletic Director, and contributed $5,000.
If any business, family of individual would like to donate to the building of the ONLY public tennis courts in Malibu, please contact Alfredo Silva at Malibu High School, ext. 316.
